The 2021-22 UEFA Champions League’s round of 16 continues this week with a highly anticipated showdown between FIFA Club World Cup champions Chelsea F.C. and LOSC Lille on Tuesday, February 22 (2/22/2022).
Chelsea is still flying high after the team’s recent victory at the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup, where they beat Palmeiras 2-1. After that they returned to the Premier League and beat Crystal Palace 1-0 to maintain their 3rd place standing at home.
In the Champions League, Chelsea finished 2nd in Group H, 4-1-1, to advance to the Round of 16. LOSC Lille finished on top of Group G, but had a worse record than Chelsea at 3-2-1. The French side is currently in 11th place in Ligue 1.
